The Klius Research Facility, sometimes referred to in short as Klius Station, was a top secret Civil Triumvirate space station located near the Cat's Eye Nebula in the Feline Region of the galaxy. It was dedicated to medical and scientific research for the Triumvirate. In addition, there was a significant detachment of Yellow Star Alliance defense and a local LOPO office, which maintained security of the operation.
Its vicinity to the Cat's Eye Nebula made it the perfect hiding place. The resulting cloud of radiation masked its presence from even the most sophisticated of long-range scanning devices, and the luminous nebulonic gasses kept it hidden from view by deep space telescopes.
History[]
Klius Station was attacked in 2193 by the Freedom Coalition. Coalition Marines were able to board the station after the Naval forces breached the defensive perimeter. LOPO's immediate priority was the evacuation of all civilians and scientific researchers - the Legion Soldiers were left behind to defend against the infiltrating marines.
It was destroyed when the Colonel in Command issued General Order 13 - the station's fusion core was set to overload, and the station was destroyed.
Design[]
The space station was sphere-shaped, and broken into four quarters (Alpha Quarter, Beta Quarter, etc). The decks were laid out in circular patterns spanning from a central elevator bay. The main docking bays were in the Alpha Quarter. It's primary control center was held in a double-shielded nub on the ventral axis, with a secondary battle bridge to support war operations at the base of the dorsal axis.

MedLab 4 was a cloning research facility. All projects required clearance from the C.S.O. (Chief Science Officer).
